India is today one of the fastest growing large economies in the world. Its growing presence in EAEU member countries in recent years indicates an increasing focus of Indian companies, investors and the present government in increasing and strengthening relations on a bilateral, multilateral and pluryilateral stage.

As a catalyst in building Brand India worldwide, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Economic Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India (GoI), will be organising the first edition of the India – EAEU Business Conclave on 16 – 17 March 2021 in Moscow, Russia. CII will be working in close coordination with the Embassy of India in Moscow and some of its Institutional Partners based in Moscow.

The economic cooperation between India and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is one of the most promising and eagerly anticipated partnership in the Region. India and EAEU, comprising of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, jointly form a market of more than 1.5 billion people and gross domestic product of more than 15 trillion U.S. Dollars (PPP), which provides a huge opportunity for enhancing bilateral trade and business cooperation.

With the aim to provide insights into the business dynamics of the Union, incentives for establishing businesses, customs regulations and opportunity sectors, the conclave would aptly demonstrate the economic strength and the potential for businesses to grow between India and EAEU members countries. It would be an exclusive industry-focused platform, highlighting the business opportunities and also examine partnerships by exploring complementarities, primarily in the areas of Energy, ICT, Agriculture, Food, Startup & Innovation and MSME, among others. Needless to say, CII would organise focused B2B meetings for the business delegates during the Conclave.

The Conclave intents to forge a partnership, encompassing CII, the Government of India, and EAEU member countries, that would provide the necessary impetus to bring together important actors and help shape the future of India-EAEU relations.
